Why a company from the coast drives to Marion County

The Ocala metro was the fastest-growing in the country in 2025, and a lot of that growth is exactly the kind of housing that needs an honest HVAC company: thousands of 55+ villas in On Top of the World, Stone Creek and Oak Run whose original heat pumps are reaching the end of their lives together, new subdivisions in Fore Ranch and Heath Brook whose builder-installed systems are worth a proper commissioning check, and farm properties along the equestrian corridor with a tack room, an office and a barn apartment all on separate equipment.

Jerry, Sean and the people they trained

Cook’s is family-owned and family-run. Call about a replacement and you will likely end up with Jerry, who does the sizing and the sales conversation himself. Call about a repair and either Sean, our lead technician, comes out or someone he trained does. There is no layer of salespeople on commission between you and the person who knows the equipment.

That continuity is the quiet advantage of a small company. A Lennox system we install in Southeast Ocala this year should still be running when the house changes hands, and the people who sold it, installed it and maintain it all work out of the same building.

Lennox, plus whatever is already in the attic

As a Lennox dealer we install and warranty the Lennox line, including the Healthy Climate indoor air products and the Ultimate Comfort System tier. That is the equipment we stand behind for a new install.

Repairs are a different story. The air handler above a 1979 block ranch in Silver Springs Shores may be a Carrier; the package unit behind a Candler Hills villa may be a Bryant. We service all of them, and we carry the common parts for all of them.

How dispatch really works for an 83-mile market

Our shop is about two hours from downtown Ocala. Rather than hide that, we build around it. When you book a maintenance visit or an estimate, ask dispatch how Marion County stops are grouped; the aim is one truck covering several addresses between Belleview and Reddick on the same trip, carrying the parts that fail most in this housing stock.

Emergencies break that pattern on purpose. A no-cool call from a home with an infant or an elderly resident gets a truck regardless of the day’s plan, at any hour, with no after-hours charge. We give you an honest arrival window rather than a hopeful one.

Homes and businesses

Residential work is most of what we do in Ocala, but the commercial side is real: barn offices and tack rooms on training farms, storefronts along SR 200 and small industrial space near the I-75 distribution hub.

About the company, from the Ocala side

Do you have an Ocala office I can walk into?

No, and you won’t find us claiming one. Our only address is 37 Fairmont Ln in Palm Coast. Ocala is covered by trucks that leave from there, which is why we talk so openly about drive time and route days.

Is the person who shows up a Cook's employee or a local subcontractor?

Cook’s is family-owned and operated, and Sean leads the technicians. Ask when you book who is coming and whether any part of the job is subcontracted; you will get a straight answer. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]]

Are you on Ocala Electric Utility's pre-qualified contractor list?

OEU keeps a short list of firms whose receipts qualify for certain rebates. Where Cook’s stands on that list is a question for Jerry; we would rather tell you straight than guess. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]]

You sell Lennox. Will you still repair the Trane in my Marion Oaks house?

Yes. Lennox is what we install and warranty as a dealer. For repairs we work on Trane, Carrier, Bryant and nearly everything else already running in a Marion County home.
